The Last Train to the Valley of Lights — anime story demo
An original 8-scene anime story made in Donatello. Watch 43 seconds of reviewed illustrations with camera movement, English narration, subtitles and music.
At sunset, Hana arrived at the hillside station.
It was the last evening of summer, and the old mountain train was making its final journey.
She held a sketch of the valley, an heirloom from her past.
One tiny star marked a place beyond the last tunnel. As the train climbed, the town became a cluster of warm lights beneath a violet sky.
Hana watched the mountains gather around the windows. Beyond the tunnel, she found the lake from the drawing.
A thousand floating lanterns were moving slowly across its still surface. Hana stood by the water.
The train waited while she made one new mark on the sketch: a little circle beside the star.
This time, the memory was hers.

Run verification
Matched to completed production jobs and the documented caption-only re-export. Published files retain byte counts and SHA-256 hashes; scripts and timed captions are public. The original production export is preserved in the run record. First-party evidence, not an independent review.
Editing disclosure
Reviewed and revised for character identity, anatomy, train type, the valley drawing, twilight, shoreline and correspondence with narration. A clean character reference replaced one containing an unwanted prop. Earlier generated images were selectively reused through the editor; no external artwork was substituted. Automated image-quality review was active on this editorial/admin run; availability to every account is not established by this example. Caption phrases were regrouped for readability and the same images and narration were re-exported with the Donatello renderer. No new AI assets were generated; the run record preserves both export versions.
Interpretation limit
Manual review and retries are included in elapsed time; this is not an unattended speed benchmark. This 43.34-second credit-funded example does not test Relax latency, a 20-minute project, continuous character animation or lip-sync. Captions retain measured scene boundaries but are not word-level forced alignment. Automated image review, where recorded, was an editorial/admin pilot rather than proof of universal availability.
