At midnight, station keeper Ellis found a wet umbrella resting on the deserted platform. No train had stopped there for twenty years.
From the tunnel came the slow scrape of luggage wheels. Ellis raised his torch. The beam reached only the first few sleepers before the darkness swallowed it.
Inside the ticket office, the old departure clock began to move backwards. A single fresh ticket slid beneath the locked door.
Ellis turned it over. On the blank paper, water spread into the shape of a hand. Five dark fingerprints appeared against the other side of the window.
He backed toward the platform exit. Beyond the glass, an empty train arrived without headlights, its doors opening onto complete darkness.
Ellis left the umbrella where he had found it and walked away without looking back. Behind him, the departure clock struck thirteen.

Editing disclosure
Reviewed and revised for the electric flashlight, five-finger anatomy, the ticket beneath the door, chronological train arrival and dark carriage. The final scene uses a simplified clock face. Still imagery illustrates the story; it does not depict clock hands moving backwards. Caption phrases were regrouped for readability and the same images and narration were re-exported with the Donatello renderer. No new AI assets were generated; the run record preserves both export versions.
Interpretation limit
Manual review and retries are included in elapsed time; this is not an unattended speed benchmark. This 61.37-second credit-funded example does not test Relax latency, a 20-minute project, continuous character animation or lip-sync. Captions retain measured scene boundaries but are not word-level forced alignment. Automated image review, where recorded, was an editorial/admin pilot rather than proof of universal availability.
